About Me

As the daughter of two amazing artists who were also elite educators and incredible people, I am a very well-rounded human being, with a passion for living life to the fullest. I have always wanted to be a physician, but my family made certain that I pursued all of my interests from the time that I was young. I love art, culture and science, and I am in constant awe of what the human body is capable of. I chose the practice of medicine as a profession because it is the perfect combination of art and science, and healing is something that I am passionate about.

I was born and raised in one of the best cities on earth, Washington, D.C. I have also lived in Philadelphia, Penn. and Nashville, Tenn., and ultimately settled here in Atlanta in 2013. I am a mother, an artist, a scientist and I thoroughly enjoy my job as a physician.

About my practice

Well-being is a state of balance between the various aspects of health and it is a dynamic concept. I am an avid believer in the power of food and exercise in the maintenance of health and in healing. Generally speaking, when there is a need for medications, they are meant to augment a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, lifestyle modifications are often at the top of my list of prescriptions. When diet and physical activity are not a priority, the body cannot function optimally. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to medicine and I believe in empowering people with information as often as possible.

How I thrive

I most enjoy spending time with my family, both immediate and extended. I spend a lot of time with friends and family, simply enjoying each other's company. I do a considerable amount of community service and I enjoy cooking, dancing, sewing, watching movies and reading.
