About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm pleased to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very privileged to work at Kaiser Permanente with my wonderful members and colleagues, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I am originally from the East Coast, New Jersey, to be specific. After high school, I decided to pursue my undergraduate and medical school training in Virginia. I then wanted to explore the Big Apple (New York City) and was there for six years, completing my internal medicine residency and my pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship. The warm tropics of Hawaii then lured me away from New York. My practice in Honolulu gave me time to explore the Hawaiian Islands as well as learn to surf, golf, and compete in a triathlon. After I met my husband, the two of us decided to come to sunny California to pursue our careers and raise a family.

About my practice

As a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist and Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program, I see a wide variety of members and diseases. I enjoy meeting new and interesting people every day. My goals include helping members and their families understand and participate in their own health care decisions, explaining medical issues in understandable terms, and diagnosing and treating members for their maximal benefit. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family. I enjoy the interaction with my members and collaborating with physicians who have other specialties.

How I thrive

Keeping a balance between my professional life and my personal life is very important to me. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to museums, making trips to the bookstore and library, and doing things outdoors, such as running, swimming, playing golf, and winter activities.
