About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my Web page. I hope you will learn a little bit about me and how I practice medicine.

Biography

My family came to the U.S. from South Korea when I was quite young. Ever since I could remember, I've wanted to be a doctor to help people. To that end, I went to medical school at the University of Colorado and chose otolaryngology-head and neck surgery as my specialty. My first two jobs were at academic medical institutions: UCSF and University of Colorado. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente so that I could focus my energy on taking care of patients.

About my practice

It truly is an honor to be your physician. My sub-specialty is treating people with head and neck tumors and cancers; I completed additional fellowship training in this area at UCSF. I believe in educating my patients so that they understand why we are recommending the various treatments. This also allows my patients to make the right decision for themselves. I also have an interest in minimally invasive procedures when possible to speed the recovery process.

How I thrive

I stay well by spending time with my family, and my spiritual needs are met through attending church.
