About Me

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and decided early in my college education that I wanted to enter the field of medicine as a fascinating and continually evolving career. I trained at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. I have enjoyed my career with Kaiser Permanente at the Lakewood Ob/Gyn department since 1980. I am married and have one daughter who is studying premed as of 2012 at CSU.

About my practice

My special interests in Ob/Gyn are laparoscopic and hysteroscopic(minimally invasive) surgery, and Kaiser Permanente has been very supportive in advancing state-of-the-art medical practice on a daily basis. I have a great deal of respect and confidence in the high quality of medicine provided by my fellow Ob/Gyn physicians and other physicians and medical providers in Kaiser Permanente's well-coordinated system. I like patients to be well informed about their health and medical conditions and take an active part in their treatment. I think patient education is paramount in providing great medical care.

How I thrive

I try to stay busy, and my family and I love to travel to our favorite destination, Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl. I seem to accumulate patients with the same obsession with Disney. We are all skiers (the main reason I moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania) and I also enjoy fly fishing, golf, and boating (at Lake McConaughy in NE, where I plan to retire.) I also have a fascination with trains and work on an HO gauge model train layout in my spare time. Overall, my family and career keep me happy and healthy.
