I grew up in a small town on the Mississippi River in Iowa. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and went to medical school at Des Moines University. I completed my family medicine residency at Danville Regional Medical Center in Virginia. I have always dreamed of living in Colorado and I’m excited to have finally migrated here with my family.
As long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a doctor. I think it is as important to teach patients about their disease as it is to treat the disease itself. I want to help patients know more about their health so we can make shared health decisions. I enjoy seeing a variety of patients of all ages but have a particular interest in young families and adolescent health.
I love going on adventures with my husband and two young daughters. I enjoy hiking – I’ve even been talked into climbing several of the fourteeners, baking cookies, strolling through farmer’s markets, and sweating out my frustrations with hot yoga.
