About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you. I look forward to partnering with you to care for your vision and will strive to provide the compassionate, high-quality care you expect from Kaiser Permanente.

I was born in South Korea, but I immigrated to the United States with my family when I was a young child. A Midwesterner at heart, I grew up in the Buckeye State of Ohio. I lived in the South while obtaining my undergraduate and medical education. My wife and I came to California so I could complete my fellowship. We fell in love with all that California has to offer, and we decided to make it our new home. We have 2 kids who give us lots of joy but also keep us busy at home. I'm a dog person and have Harley, an adorable Pomeranian, my wife and I rescued.

About my practice

I practice medicine by one simple rule: treat all members the way I would want a member of my family to be treated by a physician. I truly enjoy my relationships with members. It is a great privilege to help them improve and protect their vision. We have a great team of medical assistants, nurses, and physicians here who share the same goal of providing quality care to our members.

How I thrive

When I am not caring for members, spending time with my family and friends is very important to me. I also love the outdoors. My hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, camping, swimming, and golfing.
