I have always dreamed of being a physician. Born and raised in Florida, I moved to Atlanta in 2000 with my husband to start medical school at Emory University as he started graduate school at Georgia Tech. Three Georgia Peaches (daughters) later, we are still here and never leaving That is until I retire and drive off into the sunset with my RV!
I am board certified in internal medicine. I enjoy building relationships and getting to know our members and their families. I also teach Emory University medical students, nurse practitioner students and will soon teach UGA/Georgia Regents medical students as part of my practice. They keep me on my toes and I have to stay current with the latest evidence-based medicine to be able to teach my students, my patients and their families.
I started running at age 30, and although I am still slow, I like to get out there, especially when I can run and chat with friends or family. I run in many 5K and 10K events, and once a year a 15K or even a half-marathon. I garden and have started pickling and dehydrating my own produce that I grow. I like to spend my weekends outdoors in the North Georgia Mountains and leading Girl Scouts on adventures.
