About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am a nephrologist, a doctor who specializes in the treatment of kidney disease and high blood pressure. In my practice, I treat chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, hypertension, and electrolyte disorders. I also care for patients who need to undergo kidney transplantation and/or dialysis.

Biography

I was born in Malaysia and grew up in the South Bay. I spent eight years in New England for undergraduate and medical school. Although I enjoyed my experience there, I wanted to return to California for my medical training. I completed my residency and fellowship training at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center and accepted a position here at South Bay Medical Center. I’m proud to continue my career with Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

My goal is to provide high-quality and compassionate care to all members. I believe in educating patients about their specific disease, discussing treatment options in detail, and allowing the person to participate in decision-making. I aim to have a trusting and long-lasting relationship with my patients and to keep them in good health.

How I thrive

Despite my busy schedule, I try to find time to exercise regularly. Through a healthy diet and regular exercise, I have lost almost 15 lbs. and feel much better overall. I always encourage my patients to do the same because I have personally experienced the positive benefits of a healthy lifestyle. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am also an avid soccer fan and Manchester United fanatic.
