I grew up in Denver and attended Denver Public Schools. I completed the majority of my training at the University of Colorado, including medical school and surgical residency. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2009, and previously I was in private practice on the west side of town. I enjoy being close to family. Most of my family, including my brothers and kids, still live in the Denver area.
I treat a wide variety of surgical problems. My area of special interest and expertise is in the surgical treatment of cancer. I see and treat many patients who have complicated cancer problems or progression of cancer. In these situations, I often work with a multidisciplinary team comprised of my Kaiser Permanente colleagues in other surgical disciplines, radiation oncology and medical oncology. This team approach allows us to treat challenging problems that often require complex operations.
I love the outdoor opportunities that Colorado has to offer. Fishing in the sunny months and skiing in the winter never gets old. I live in Golden and I am in the mountains when I step outside—it doesn’t get any better than that!
