About Me

I have been practicing and teaching family medicine since 2008 and have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2014. I see members of all ages, including young children. I am very active in medical education and work a lot with medical students and family medicine residents in my practice. I have also worked in addiction medicine for several years.

Biography

I grew up in Vancouver, Canada, and completed my medical training at the University of British Columbia (UBC). I practiced in Canada for 5 years before moving to California. I have previously worked for UBC, UC San Francisco, and Stanford University as a clinical faculty member. I am a current faculty member at UC San Diego School of Medicine and the new Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine in Pasadena.

About my practice

I strive to provide care that is member centered and high quality. I love seeing families and members of all ages. We practice preventive medicine and encourage our members to do their age-appropriate cancer screenings, lab tests, and vaccinations for preventive illnesses. We also discourage the use of addictive substances and high-risk medications.

How I thrive

I live well through time with family, at the gym, and at the beach. I also enjoy the arts, culture, sports, cooking, and dining out.
