I was born in Honolulu and raised in Kuliouou, a neighborhood on the East side of Oahu. I admire my parents for working hard through my childhood to provide me with a good education. I truly owe my success to their support.
My philosophy of care is simple: prevention is better than treatment. I believe that if the member has a strong understanding of their medical conditions they are more likely to be active in their care. Knowing the “why” can also help a member better decide on the best treatment for them. I love the coordination and teamwork within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. I am able to communicate efficiently with specialists in our group when support is needed. The physicians, medical assistants and staff all share the same vision of providing the best care possible which makes working with Kaiser Permanente Hawaii a wonderful experience.
I maintain a sense of optimism and always try to make today better than the last. I enjoy cooking, sampling various kinds of foods and traveling in my spare time.
