About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health. I am board certified in family medicine.

Biography

I was born and raised in Gujarat, a western state of India. My formal education was at one of the largest teaching facilities in India. After I moved to the United States, I completed my residency training at State University of New York at Buffalo. Many people have asked me "Why did you became a doctor?" I really don't have a clear-cut answer, but I know it was the best choice for me. I enjoy encouraging my patients to make their lives healthier, so they can concentrate on what is important to them.

About my practice

My philosophy in practicing medicine is to prevent diseases, but if a disease is not preventable, then to treat it in a global manner. I feel that living a healthy life is the best way to prevent and curb many chronic diseases. Medications are one part of the treatment plan and frequently not the main part of the treatment. I care about your symptoms and work hard to find a diagnosis, but I also believe it is just as important to understand how your symptoms are affecting your life. I believe in creating a doctor-patient relationship that is open, honest, and fulfilling.

How I thrive

My family life is one of my major priorities. My wife, two daughters, and I enjoy summer camping trips to Yosemite. I enjoy hiking, biking, yoga, and golf. I enjoy family outings to Lakers and 49ers game. I stay active by exercising regularly.
