I completed a general surgery internship at UC San Diego in 1993 and completed my neurosurgical residency at USC in 2000. I then completed a fellowship from 2000 to 2001. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2001 and practiced in Orange County for 3 years. Between 2004 and 2006, I was in private practice at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. I then returned to Orange County in 2006. I am currently the chief of neurosurgery for Orange County and the regional chief of neurosurgery for Southern California.
