About Me

Welcome to my Web page. It's a pleasure to tell you more about me and my practice. I’ve lived in many places in the world, but California is my favorite place on Earth and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this warm and inviting community.

Biography

My passion for medicine started while I was volunteering after school at a hospital. So after attending Wellesley College, I went to UC San Diego School of Medicine before moving onto Yale–New Haven Hospital to complete an internal medicine residency. There, I developed a strong desire to focus on the safety and health of workers. I attended Yale School of Public Health to obtain a Master of Public Health degree and develop skills in preventive and occupational medicine. I completed my post-residency training with an occupational medicine fellowship at Yale University.

About my practice

I try to ensure that members remain at the center of my medical practice. The most enjoyable part of my practice is getting to know my wonderful members and hearing their life stories. The most rewarding part is working together as a team to bring about positive changes in health through a trusting member-doctor relationship. With the member at the center, our team works together to help the member along road to recovery. My interests are broad and include industrial medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and public health.

How I thrive

I was brought up with the philosophy that health is not just a state of the physical ailments, but an all-encompassing state that includes mental and emotional well-being. I strive to practice what I preach by staying active through exercise and eating a healthy, balanced diet. I also keep my mind active and happy by reading about the latest updates in medicine, reading detective novels, and spending time with my family and friends.
