About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I hope you will find this informative and gain insight into who I am as your physician.

Biography

I am a California native who grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. I enrolled at UCLA and received my bachelor's degree in physiological science. I then attended the UCLA School of Medicine and received my medical degree in 1998. After medical school, I completed my internship and residency at the Santa Monica UCLA family medicine residency program. I worked for several organizations before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2003.

About my practice

My work philosophy is simple: provide the highest-quality care in a compassionate and efficient manner, while never sacrificing the needs and concerns of the members I care for. While this may seem difficult, Kaiser Permanente gives me the tools I need to accomplish my professional goals and keep a smile on my members' faces.

How I thrive

Staying well is an active process. I find that nothing keeps me healthier than my continued involvement in endurance events such as marathons and triathlons. I am an avid triathlete, as both a competitor and a volunteer. In the last several years I have developed this interest by competing in five Ironman-length triathlons and serving as an event physician for both the Ironman Triathlon Championship in Hawaii and the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon. My commitment to triathlon events has enabled me to find creative ways to achieve a life balance that is aligned with my personal and professional pursuits.
