About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page. I truly enjoy taking care of children who have gastrointestinal and liver problems; my goal is to provide your child with high-quality care.

Biography

I grew up in the New York City area and moved to California in 1982. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1996, after working with the Loma Linda University Pediatric Medical Group and being in private practice. I have practiced medicine in the Inland Empire for more than 32 years. I enjoy being a physician because I love meeting patients and their families and being able to influence their well being in a positive way. I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. In my spare time, I also enjoy hiking and skiing, as well as traveling.

About my practice

Your child will usually see me after being referred by your personal physician. An initial visit takes about 45 minutes. I will interview you and your child, if appropriate, review medical records and tests, examine your child, and make decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment. Often a diagnosis can be made and treatment started during the initial consultation; on occasion, further testing is needed. We can do a full range of testing here at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center, including laboratory tests, imaging, and endoscopy, if necessary. We do everything we can to keep your child free of pain and apprehension, including the use, when required, of sedation or anesthesia for procedures. My clinic assistant will help make appointments, answer questions, and get your results. We are supported by the staff in the gastroenterology laboratory, and by other services that may help us care for your child, such as occupational therapy and nutritional services.

How I thrive

I get a lot of satisfaction from helping you and your child achieve optimal health. My ability to help others is enhanced by keeping myself fit physically and by constantly feeding my mind and spirit by reading, spending time with family and friends, and learning new things, both about my field of medicine and about the world at large.
