About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I consider it a privilege and honor to be trusted with the task of managing a person's health care needs. I enjoy the process of meeting and establishing strong professional relationships with a large variety of patients. Your health is the most important aspect of your life, and you should feel comfortable with the people that play a part in managing it.

Biography

I grew up in Connecticut. My first love was soccer, which I played as a youth through college and beyond. I attended Yale as an undergraduate majoring in biology. I was involved in various disciplines of medical research for some years after college in Connecticut and Northern California. The inspiration for a career in medicine came from my experiences in research, an admiration for my father who was also a physician, and through the dedicated clinicians I got to know while volunteering at the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic in San Francisco.

About my practice

I want our members to know I am dedicated to promoting their overall well-being and will work hard to make sure they receive appropriate treatment. A focus on preventive medical care is what I find most admirable about Kaiser Permanente. Screening patients for potential health problems when appropriate and guiding healthy living practices through diet and exercise are two ways we are able to significantly reduce a person's risk for health problems down the road. The greatest reward for me is when a member takes an active role in his or her health, implements the lifestyle changes that we have discussed, and then sees concrete improvements in his or her profile.

How I thrive

The bulk of my free time is spent with my wife and daughters. It is a joy to watch my kids grow as we explore this fantastic phase of their lives. Soccer remains my favorite pastime. I still enjoy it as a fan and playing on weekends. I also jog regularly.
