Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad I have this opportunity to tell you about my practice and myself. It's a privilege to work for Kaiser Permanente as part of a team that promotes health for our members.
I’m a Southern California native. I knew I wanted to be a physician when I watched my mother recover from pancreatic cancer with the help of many outstanding doctors and nurses. Since then, I’ve tried to emulate the example that those health care practitioners provided for me when I was a child and young man. Kaiser Permanente gives me the perfect opportunity to treat members with the quality, service, and compassion that I experienced with my mother's care.
As an emergency physician I work as part of a large team. We practice in a highly stressful, fast-paced environment where everyone plays an integral role in providing the best care we can to our members. I’m also involved in physician administration as the physician director of medical services as well as the Southern California regional chief of emergency medicine. As a physician leader for Kaiser Permanente, I work collaboratively with our hospital and health plan partners to ensure that our members receive high-quality, compassionate care.
I stay well by relaxing with my spouse and children. We have two young sons, and they keep us on our toes! I’m an avid endurance mountain biker. I also enjoy reading and UCLA sports.
