About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am a board certified general cardiologist and routinely see patients with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and congenital heart disease. Heart disease prevention and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging are a special area of interest for me.

Biography

I was raised in Bombay, India. After finishing high school in India, I moved to Columbus, Ohio where I completed my undergraduate and medical school studies at The Ohio State University. My internal medicine residency took me to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. This is where I became passionate about treating patients with heart disease. I stayed at Washington University to serve as chief resident, and then completed my fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine. Close family ties and the beautiful West Coast brought my family and me to San Diego, where it has been very exciting to be a part of a dynamic group of cardiologists at Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

My practice is based on being a passionate advocate for my patients. Patients often seek my consultation at a time of great anxiety about their health and I strive to be an anchor for them and their families as we navigate the complexities of modern cardiovascular medicine. I am thrilled to be working in a truly integrated, cutting-edge and patient-centered medical system at Kaiser Permanente, that allows me to become a partner in my patient's medical care team while still having the flexibility to provide individualized care in an intimate setting.

How I thrive

I thrive in the presence of my family and friends. My wife and I love travelling the world and exploring new cuisines, cultures and customs. Recently, we are savoring every moment of parenthood as we watch our toddler grow. I enjoy cooking, hiking, trying new outdoor activities and rooting for my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.
