About Me
Originally from Indiana, I attended college and medical school at Indiana University. I completed my internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati and my hospice & palliative care specialty fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. I practiced in Ohio and North Carolina before venturing out West to beautiful Portland, Oregon.
About my practice
I practice Palliative Medicine in our hospitals and outpatient clinics as well as home hospice. My goal is to relieve pain and suffering and to foster strength through relationships. I work amongst a team of outstanding people to help manage the complex needs of our members, families, and caregivers. I also serve as the Director of Medical Ethics for the Kaiser Permanente Northwest Region. In this role, I enjoy hearing members' individual stories and valuing their uniqueness, while striving to maintain fairness and equality in the care we provide to our community.
How I thrive
I enjoy fine art and architecture, reading classical literature and philosophy, hiking outdoors, and playing relaxing music on a variety of Native American, Japanese, and Indian flutes.
