I was born and raised in Nigeria. It was there that I developed my passion for medicine through my mother, who was a nurse. Through her, I learned to appreciate the importance of health care workers and what they do. My humble upbringing has given me the motivation and drive to strive for excellence in my profession. I am blessed with a loving daughter, a wonderful husband, a supportive family and my recently adopted outdoor cat, Wally, who came with my new home. Joining Kaiser Permanente has allowed me to achieve a work-life balance that enables me to be there for my family, as they have always been there for me.
My subspecialty in colorectal surgery encompasses the management of conditions such as colon, rectal/anal cancer, hemorrhoids, diverticular disease, rectal prolapse, anorectal abscess and fistulas, intestinal fistulas, fecal incontinence, colonic polyps, rectocele, anal fissure, constipation, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. I employ both open and minimally invasive approaches in the surgical management of the conditions listed above. Regarding patient care, my philosophy is to ensure that every member leaves his or her appointment with a clear understanding of the diagnosis, available treatment options and an agreeable plan of care.
I have relocated several times during the course of my training. By far, Atlanta has been my favorite location to date. It has vast opportunities to explore nature, fulfill a social life and work with an amazing organization such as Kaiser Permanente. I am excited to be a part the Kaiser Permanente family and I enjoy getting out with family and friends to explore all that Atlanta has to offer.
