About Me

I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials and share other information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your psychiatrist, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I moved to Los Angeles over 20 years ago to start a family with my wife. I was born in Houston, Texas. I went to college at Yale and to medical school at Johns Hopkins University. Along the way, I studied history and worked as a writer for a Texas history project.

About my practice

Medicine as a career is a special opportunity to connect to people and help them. I utilize my medical skills and knowledge, but I also listen and work to respond to what my patients need. Communication is an important part of my practice. I feel honored that my patients have entrusted me with their care. I strive to treat them as I would my own family.

How I thrive

I believe in Kaiser Permanente’s emphasis on the health and well-being of the whole person. My family life is a priority. We enjoy walks with our dogs and day trips to various sites and events around Southern California. I also enjoy cooking, playing tennis, reading, and tending our fish aquarium.
