About Me

I hoped to become a physician after being inspired as a child by an uncle who practiced Family Medicine in my German hometown. My enthusiasm for the profession has not waned since. After my Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Louisville, my wife and I moved to Wisconsin where I worked in private practice. We moved to the Pacific Northwest when Kaiser Permanente offered me a permanent position. Kaiser Permanente allows me to balance a busy professional career with helping my homeschooling wife raise our children.

About my practice

The Kaiser Permanente system provides me outstanding support and structure. By practicing gynecological and obstetrical care in the office and hospital I maintain continuity with my patients. I provide prenatal care and deliveries, infertility care, contraceptive counseling, laparoscopic surgeries and hysterectomies. Our seamless access to high quality specialists and subspecialists in my field and others assures a smooth referral for special treatment needs.

How I thrive

I enjoy hiking, gardening, skiing, cooking, reading, and visiting area wineries. A substantial part of my free time revolves around family.
