About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I was born in South Korea and grew up in Seoul. After graduating from medical school in Korea, I served as a captain and military surgeon in the Army for three years. Shortly after, I married my soul mate and moved to the United States. Every year I go on medical missions all over the world to help people. It has been the most amazing and rewarding experience for me as well as a constant reminder of how blessed we are in the United States. At Kaiser Permanente, I practice with very current medical technology. Then, when I travel around the world to the Amazon jungle, the Andes Mountains in Peru, or Mongolia, I treat people who have received little or no medical care. Seeing such a difference in lifestyles is a humbling experience; it inspires me to serve my patients to the best of my ability.

About my practice

The doctor-patient relationship is a very special one. Patients entrust me with their personal concerns and hopes, and I treat every patient as I would my own family. It is a privilege to have this special opportunity to connect with and help people in this meaningful way.

How I thrive

I believe that keeping balance between work and family life is very important. I enjoy traveling with my wife and two daughters. I also play golf and table tennis. A balanced diet, exercise, and spiritual life are key to total health. A positive attitude is another essential element to a healthy life. Living every moment fully with a positive outlook will help keep you from having to visit your doctor too often.
