About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my Web page! I am excited to help you thrive.

Biography

I originally hail from the Midwest, specifically Leawood, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. I grew up wanting to be a dancer. However, I ultimately decided to become a doctor because I wanted to help people improve their health and well-being. I completed my undergraduate degrees in economics and journalism at Boston University. I then completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. I went on to complete my internship and residency in internal medicine at UCLA; I stayed at UCLA for my fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

About my practice

I am a general endocrinologist, which means I treat everything from diabetes to thyroid cancer to osteoporosis. I have done research and published in the fields of thyroid cancer treatment; I also have interests in transgender care. I want to help you improve your well-being from all angles, whether that is with medications, lifestyle changes, or other modalities. I am here to help you meet your goals and I want you to thrive.

How I thrive

I have three children who keep me pretty busy on the weekends! My family means the world to me, and I love going to my children's soccer and basketball games to cheer them on. In my spare time, I like to walk my dog or sometimes go to the beach with friends and family. I also enjoy going to watch musical theater when I can.
