About Me

I was born in Tampa, FL and was raised in Corvallis, OR. I have been in the Northwest for most of my life. I enjoy everything about the Pacific Northwest and its numerous outdoor adventures from skiing to rock climbing and the amazing food. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington and medical school in St. Louis, MO. I was very excited to come back to the Northwest after completing my residency in Los Angeles. Growing up I always joked with my family that I was going to be a doctor. The reality didn't set in until I was in high school, and now I am so thankful for all of the support and love from my family. So It was naturally fitting that I come back to the Pacific Northwest to practice medicine.

About my practice

My practice is focused on hospital medicine. Just like your primary care doctor helps you handle all of your medical issues outside of the hospital I will guide and care for every issue while you’re admitted. The ability to take care of acute issues and complex medical problems is something that makes me want to get up every day. My job allows me to synthesize all of the information from multiple sub-specialist and use it to best manage your care. One of the best things about being a Kaiser Permanente provider is how seamless the transition is from outpatient to the inpatient world.

How I thrive

I spend time with my wife who is a Family Medicine resident in the area. She is going through the toughest time in her life and I admire how hard she is working to achieve her goals. During our time off we play with our dog and work on projects around home. We love to travel and we have volunteered abroad in Costa Rica and Panama to help the medically underserved. We also enjoy going to the beach and getting up to the slopes when we can. The ultimate way I thrive is through travel and we have destinations picked out for years to come.
