About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am a general practice ear, nose, and throat (ENT) physician who enjoys working with people of all ages with all sorts of problems.

Biography

I am a graduate of UC Berkeley and received my medical degree and doctorate from Stanford. I did my residency training at USC. I have worked in academic medicine, and I ran a private practice in Northern California for 10 years. My wife, son, and I moved to Bakersfield in 2009 so that I could take this position with Kaiser Permanente. I enjoy focusing on taking care of people and not having to worry as much about the business side of medicine.

About my practice

I am a firm believer that people must participate in all aspects of their health care. Accordingly, I spend time educating my patients as to their choices—and only in rare cases will I tell them what to do. I see this relationship as a partnership in which I share my knowledge and expertise, but it’s up to the patient to decide what’s best for him or her.

How I thrive

I like to cook and, unfortunately, I like to eat. I enjoy writing both nonfiction and fiction, and I hope one day to publish a novel. I regularly destroy myself at the gym, and I enjoy hiking when I get the chance. I enjoy playing online video games. I also raise dart frogs.
