About Me

Welcome to my Web page. My purpose is to help people live their greatest life possible through my teaching, coaching, and care.

Biography

My life has been a series of miracles. I was born in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. When I was a child, my parents and I escaped Vietnam by boat. We lived in refugee camps in Malaysia for several years before coming to the United States. I was the first in my family to graduate high school, let alone go to college and then medical school at UCLA. I am so thankful for the blessings in my life and the opportunity to take care of people and be a positive force for a healthy lifestyle.

About my practice

I diagnose and treat nerve, muscle, bone issues to decrease pain, restore function, and maximize quality of life without surgery. I perform electrodiagnostic studies (nerve conduction studies and electromyography) to diagnose nerve and muscle diseases. I work with a team that may include physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, neurologists, and surgeons. Together with my patients, we formulate a plan that takes into account the whole person, not just the current condition, so that they may continue to stay as active as possible throughout their lifetime.

How I thrive

The purpose of life is to be useful, responsible, and compassionate. I have a loving husband and three kids and we enjoy ballroom dancing, backpacking, skating, and learning self-sufficiency skills. I make time to volunteer, such as teaching medical students at UCLA and Special Olympics.
