About Me

I am a Portland native - born and raised here in Portland, Oregon. I did all of my training on the East Coast - Georgetown for medical school and Brown for residency - yet I always knew I would come back to the Pacific Northwest with my family to raise my children. Northwest Permanente has been my home since finishing training. My initial career here at NWP involved 10 years of general surgery. Starting in 2022, I shifted my practice to specialize in breast care. I love taking care of women (and men) who have breast concerns, benign or cancer. The relationship and trust that develops between myself and my patient is rewarding, and I am honored to be a part of their individualized care journey.

About my practice

My practice here at Northwest Permanente focuses on breast health, including the care of breast cancer, cancer survivorship, high risk screening, and benign breast concerns. I work collaboratively with our amazing team of breast radiologists, breast cancer nurse navigators, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons, genetics team and breast physician assistants, to provide comprehensive breast care. In my surgical practice, I perform a variety of breast operations including lumpectomy, terminal duct excision, oncoplastic surgery, skin sparing mastectomy, nipple sparing mastectomy, bilateral prophylactic mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary lymph node dissection, and port placement. My philosophy is to provide individualized care for each patient according to their needs and preferences.

How I thrive

In my free time, I am very busy with my two sons and husband who all love to do a variety of sports. I personally love trying out a new recipe, restaurant, or workout. Traveling with my family to experience other cultures and countries is a highlight every year.
