About Me

Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and love Southern California. I feel fortunate to work at places where I enjoy being: Los Angeles and Kaiser Permanente. I received both my bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of California at Irvine. Obstetrics and gynecology is my chosen field because it is my passion. I love being able to educate the patients that I see, deliver their babies, as well as help them through surgeries or problems such as preconception counseling, contraception, or menopause.

About my practice

I am an obstetrician and gynecologist at the Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Offices. I look forward to providing you with compassionate and excellent care. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1998 and plan to be here for many years to come. I became chief of service for the department of obstetrics and gynecology in 2013. Although I have an administrative role, I continue to have a very busy practice caring for my patients. I treat my patients the way I would want to be treated. I listen to my patients. I am compassionate. I try to be thorough and provide support and care when needed. I talk with my patients about why a certain medication or treatment is needed and I provide alternative options when available. My nurse is always helpful and supportive and helps our patients feel comfortable while waiting to see me. I work hard, and feel it is a privilege to be involved in so many lives. I maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. I also perform gynecologic surgery including hysterectomies, and I am certified in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, called laparoscopy.

How I thrive

I believe in working hard and playing hard. I relieve stress by getting my heart rate up and exercising. I love to run or hike in the hills where I live. I sometimes grab my friend or husband and go! At night, I take my dog. If it's cold out, I bundle up with a scarf, but I still go because I feel better afterwards. On the weekends we make exercise or physical activity a family event and include the children. I advise finding an outlet to relieve stress, whether it's exercise, meditation, music, or talking to friends. Good nutrition and restful sleep are important too.
