About Me

Hi, I'm Dr. Luk (pronounced "Luck"). Welcome to my Web page. I'm excited to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family in Southern California. My mission is to provide high-quality care to members while maintaining an honest and personable relationship with them. I hope the information on this page helps you get to know me better.

Biography

After living all over the United States for medical training, I'm glad to come back home to Southern California. I grew up in the South Bay and then traveled up north to Stanford University for my undergraduate degree. I attended medical school at UC San Francisco. I completed my residency training in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, where I developed a strong clinical and research interest in nasal and sinus surgery. I then completed a rhinology and skull base surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

About my practice

My practice is primarily dedicated to the medical and surgical management of nasal and sinus diseases. I perform primary and revision endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinate surgery, LATERA nasal implants, cerebrospinal fluid leak repair, nasal tumor excision, and dacrocystorhinotomy surgery. I also work with other specialists, including neurosurgeons and ophthalmologists, for more complicated diseases that require a multidisciplinary approach.

How I thrive

I love to be active and outdoors with friends and family. I enjoy hiking, jogging, hanging out at the beach, and playing golf. I am also interested in improving surgical outcomes though research. In my free time, I love to travel and experience different world cultures and cuisine.
