About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my Web page. My name is Beth Serino, and I truly love my job where I get to take care of and empower women with their health. I look forward to meeting you and helping you live well!

Biography

I grew up in Arizona and went to Arizona State University for college, where I majored in microbiology and minored in Spanish. I knew I wanted to be an ob-gyn physician from the beginning because women’s healthcare needs have always inspired me. In between college and medical school, I lived in Mammoth Lakes, California, and grew to love snowboarding, skiing, and the mountains. For medical school, I experienced the East Coast in Washington, DC, and attended Georgetown University School of Medicine. For residency, I knew I wanted to come back to the West Coast, and I completed my ob-gyn training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I feel so grateful to be in Ventura, where I am close to my extended family and can experience everything Southern California has to offer. My husband and our 2 sons and I often enjoy the outdoors as much as we can. We enjoy going to the beach or the park, swimming, hiking, and just spending time together.

About my practice

I enjoy being a full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology generalist. Taking care of women through all parts of their life is my pleasure, and I feel connected to my members and their health. This includes birth control, pregnancy, abnormal Pap tests, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, pelvic pain, infections, healthcare maintenance, and more. I have experience in minimally invasive surgery including hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. I take great pride in working for Kaiser Permanente because it helps me provide high-quality care to members. I appreciate that all of the staff help address healthcare maintenance for members (such as scheduling mammograms), the ease of referrals when necessary, and focusing on member satisfaction.

How I thrive

I try to achieve work-life balance by being present in the moment. This means that when I am in a member's room, I am dedicated to that woman and helping her achieve her health goals in any way that I can. When I am at home, I focus on my husband and children and spending time together as a family. Life seems to fly by, and I want to enjoy the journey. Things that help me live a healthy life include staying active, enjoying the sunshine, reading a book when I can, and family dinners.
