About Me

Welcome to my Web page!

Biography

I’m a Ventura County native who returned to the Los Angeles area after 10 years in Ohio for my medical training. I met my husband—who was born and raised in Ohio—there, and we moved with our new baby to Los Angeles. After doing my fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, I began my career with Kaiser Permanente in 2011. I look forward to being part of Kaiser Permanente for years to come. I decided at a young age to become a doctor and didn’t stray much from that path after college at UCLA. I didn’t know until medical school that I wanted to be a surgeon, then a plastic surgeon, and finally a pediatric specialist.

About my practice

I’m a plastic surgeon specializing in pediatric and craniofacial surgery. I enjoy all aspects of plastic surgery and helping restore the whole body. My passion is helping children with congenital conditions—such as cleft lip, craniosynostosis, hemangiomas, and skin abnormalities. I also enjoy the part of my practice that deals with general plastic surgery—including breast cancer, skin cancer, post bariatric surgery, and any reconstruction we can do to restore what has been taken from members by trauma, cancer, or congenital defect.

How I thrive

I’ve been happily married since 2007, and we enjoy balancing our jobs and our home life. We have two wonderful young children, and a Yellow Labrador. We enjoy outdoor activities as a family and are very active with hiking, running, gardening, and going to the beach. We also enjoy cooking and spending time at home with friends and family. I make it a point to be grateful for the positive things in life. For things that I wish were different, I do what I can to make myself and my family happy and whole.
