Hello, my name is Dr. Rabadi. I serve as a hospitalist here at the Kaiser Permanente Antelope Valley Medical Offices. My job is to take excellent care of you while you are in the hospital. I work in consultation with your primary care physician and other members of our medical team to develop an effective treatment plan, which will hopefully return you to good health and have you home as soon as possible.
As the child of a physician, I have been going to clinics and hospitals since I was very young. I saw firsthand the amazing work doctors and nurses perform as they heal the sick and injured. Therefore, it came quite naturally to me to go to medical school after I finished high school in Syria. I was admitted to Damascus University and earned my medical degree. Wanting to increase my medical knowledge, I came to the United States and continued my education with Glendale Adventist Medical Center where I completed my residency. Having practiced in both clinical settings and hospitals, I discovered that I receive the greatest satisfaction from the intensity and challenges of a hospital setting. It is here that I thrive.
Despite the fact that I seldom meet patients before I greet them in the hospital, I usually have a good understanding of your needs and conditions after reviewing their charts. Kaiser Permanente’s electronic health record system is very helpful in this regard. I always try to have a friendly conversation with you and your family when we first meet. This helps us to better connect and builds confidence in the fact that I have a firm grasp of your current situation as well as your full medical history. Working together, we develop a rational approach to addressing the issues that brought you to the hospital and create a strategy to get you feeling better and back on your feet as quickly as possible. You play an important role in this process. Doctors, nurses, technicians, and therapists can’t do it alone. It requires hard work and cooperation from you as well. Kaiser Permanente provides high quality, effective care that can help people recover from all kinds of illness and injuries. I am pleased to be a part of this organization.
Spending time with family and friends tops my list of leisure time activities. I also enjoy travel. When I visited Pamplona, Spain I ended up running away from the bulls, rather than with them! I like watching and participating in sports, notably basketball, and soccer. I also try to find time to visit the gym regularly and enjoy running when the weather is nice.
