About Me

I grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and went up to Boston for college at Tufts University. I came back to North Carolina for medical school at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. I moved out to Denver for my pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Colorado where I received wonderful training and fell in love with Colorado and everything it has to offer! I joined Kaiser Permanente after completing my residency in 2014, and I feel very honored to be practicing pediatrics in this community.

About my practice

I love watching children grow and develop. I like to envision myself as part of a child's extended family and their advocate in all things. I like supporting families through the difficult times and reveling in the happy ones. I strongly believe in evidence-based medicine and the importance of preventive medicine, including immunization and primary care. I think it is important to approach each day with the goal of learning something new and I love when my patients teach me things I can't learn in a book.

How I thrive

I appreciate spending time with my husband, young son, friends and family. We enjoy getting outside by going hiking, camping, running and skiing. One of my favorite hobbies is reading – I love children's books and strive to get my patients excited about reading!
