About Me

I grew up in the Willamette valley and joined the Army after high school. I found out about the physician assistant profession, while serving and said to myself, "I want to do that!", so I attended the University of California Davis Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant program in Sacramento, California where I started my career. My wife, a Sacramento naitive and University of Oregon alumnus always wanted to return to the Pacific Northwest, so in 2006, we did. We enjoy both city life and the outdoors with our two teenage children, who are always up for a hike in the Columbia gorge, a trip to the bookstore, or even just a walk through the neighborhood with our three dogs.

About my practice

I truly enjoy working in medicine, and interacting with people. I believe in treating the whole person and that sometimes the best medicine is just to listen. I have had the opportunity to work in many different care settings as a Physician Assistant (PA), and have gained valuable experience from all of them. I am very fortunate to work for an organization with so many talented clinicians and enjoy the collaborative approach to care at Kaiser Permanente.

How I thrive

Making time to care for yourself can be difficult, but I find exercise is time well spent. My passion is cycling, and I especially enjoy riding down a wooded trail enjoying my surroundings. Aside from the solitude one can enjoy when riding down a trail or country road, I enjoy spending time with my family as it is much easier to thrive with their support.
