About Me

60 miles north of Denver is a town called Eaton, Colorado. That's where I grew up. After undergrad and medical school at Colorado University, I finished my family practice residency at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital here in town. I have been a Kaiser Permanente physician since 1986, am married to a retired grade school teacher and have two adult daughters. Hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and exercising at least five days per week, as I encourage my patients to do, is how I spend my off hours. Swimming is my favorite exercise, though I recently started doing Pilates and yoga and also enjoy these. I enjoy Colorado and cannot imagine living anywhere else.

About my practice

As a general practitioner who enjoys taking care of all ages (and the primary care needs that occur at each stage in life), I believe preventative medicine is very important and will encourage my patients to live healthy lifestyles.

How I thrive

Thriving means balancing my personal life with the demands of work. Regular exercise, a healthy diet, reading fiction, spending time with my family, and attending church all help me to keep a balanced life.
