About Me

I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I look forward to meeting you in person.

Biography

I was born on the island nation of Sri Lanka and lived through a civil war for most of my childhood. My family immigrated to the United States when I was seven, and I have been here ever since. My grandfather was a village doctor in my native hometown and first inspired me to consider this profession. My mother’s death at a young age due to cancer drew me even further into medicine, as I was both incredibly touched and heartbroken by what medicine can do and cannot yet do. As I entered my college years, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else in my life that could give me greater fulfillment and meaning. So here I am, doing and loving what I was born to do.

About my practice

I firmly believe in holistic health care, which includes ones physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. I work very closely with my staff to develop a strong relationship with my patients. I believe that every patient that walks through my door deserves to be treated and cared for like they are one of my family members. Earning the trust and confidence of my patients is of utmost importance to my staff and me. We want to get to know our patients not in a superficial way but in a very deep and meaningful way, so that we can care for the whole person. We want to enable our patients to live as healthily as possible.

How I thrive

My peace of mind comes from my faith. I am very involved in my local church, where I preach, teach, and serve on various ministries. I enjoy playing my guitar, cooking, salsa dancing, playing basketball and tennis, and traveling to scenic places. I’m passionate about my work as a physician, but I am equally passionate about impacting the lives of people in dynamic ways so that they can realize and embrace their true purpose. My mantra in life: Love God. Love people. It’s just that simple!
