Hello and welcome. I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this Web page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Southern California when I joined Kaiser Permanente's residency program. I’ve been fascinated by Southern California's culture, people, geography, and climate ever since. I have lived in Claremont for 22 years, and most recently moved to the San Bernardino Mountains. The fires are a little scary, but I love living in the wilderness! I was inspired to be a physician by my own family physician who took care of my entire extended family, and even delivered my sister. I have never regretted that decision!
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I'm also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I have a particular interest in minor surgical procedures and adolescent medicine.
I am an avid exerciser. I work out by using a stair stepper and weight-resistance training at least three to four days per week. I particularly love biking. I bike with my husband every weekend along some of Southern California's wonderful bicycle trails. I enjoy snowshoeing at Lake Tahoe every winter. My mind flourishes on seeing at least three movies per week, and I love to read. Our public library and bookstores are my favorite "shopping places." Creatively, I love interior decorating.
