About Me

I was born and raised in Honolulu. My family consists of my husband, two children, and our extended ohana.

About my practice

I decided to pursue a career in medicine because I wanted to be able to care for our local families. As a family medicine physician I treasure caring for everyone from our keiki to our kupuna. It is an honor to earn and keep my patients’ trust as their primary care partner. What keeps me going professionally are my everyday interactions with my patients. In the immortal words of Dr. Chuck Sakamoto, “You give me a reason to come to work every day.” I love my patients’ smiles, being able to laugh with them, and to grow with them during their times of need. I’m humbled by their trust and respect. My mom was a nurse at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii for 25 years. Having grown up in this ohana, I feel blessed to work alongside my outstanding colleagues here today who continue to be consistently professional and caring. Together we are here for our patients and their families.

How I thrive

My hobbies include exercising at the gym, swimming, and paddle boarding. I try to maintain balance between work and play, making sure to laugh at least once a day.
