About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m very happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. My great colleagues and members are 2 of the reasons I feel fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente. I look forward to helping you care for your health.

I’ve wanted to be a physician since I was in the fifth grade. I used to imitate my grandmother’s physician by pretending to take my grandmother’s blood pressure at home. The desire to become a physician was amplified when I was one of the boat people escaping Vietnam after the war and saw the need to help others. As a member of the first generation in my family to immigrate to the United States, I realized the importance of helping others, not only physically but also emotionally. The power of healing starts with treating the whole individual, not just the disease itself.

About my practice

Medicine is not only a way to treat illness but also a way to help prevent it. I’m also trained as an electrical engineer, which enables me to look at medicine from an additional scientific perspective. I consider being a physician a special chance to connect with people and help them. One of the most important skills I’ve learned is listening. I listen when members share their concerns, fears, and hopes with me. I like answering their questions and helping them understand what they might not fully comprehend. I am truly honored that members have entrusted me with their care. I give them the same care and attention I would give anyone in my own family.

How I thrive

My family is my major priority, but I love my work also. I’m passionate about it and enjoy learning. Who I am today is a direct result of what I learned yesterday.
