About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Thanks for choosing Kaiser Permanente for your care. I look forward to helping you stay healthy.

Biography

I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but did the majority of my training on the East Coast at Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University Medical Center. After becoming a board-certified general surgeon, I came back to California to complete my fellowship training in breast surgical oncology with internationally-recognized breast surgeon Dr. Armando Giuliano at John Wayne Cancer Institute/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. I am an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology, and regularly attend academic meetings to keep up-to-date on novel approaches to breast cancer treatment.

About my practice

I specialize in breast surgery. I frequently treat patients with breast cancer, high-risk breast lesions, and benign breast disease. Every week I participate in Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center’s Breast Multi-Disciplinary Conference, where our team of outstanding cancer specialists review and meet with patients who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Additionally, I help run the Los Angeles Medical Center’s High Risk Breast Clinic, where our specialized team assists patients with BRCA mutations or other inherited high-risk conditions. I have a special interest in skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies, as well as oncoplastic techniques for breast conservation surgery.

How I thrive

I enjoy staying active, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends.
