About Me

I consider it a privilege and a pleasure to work in the medical field, and have since my first day in the medical school in my native Poland. I trained in anesthesiology after a period of graduate-level research study in pharmacology at Oregon Health and Science University. Since 1998 I have been in clinical practice, starting at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro, Oregon where I helped with development of a heart surgery program while maintaining a broad expertise in adult and pediatric anesthesia, with the emphasis on minimizing pain and stress of surgery by various techniques. I have had the opportunity to work in the department of anesthesiology at Kaiser Permanente Northwest since 2010.

About my practice

I work in a busy and large department of anesthesiology. We care for a breathtaking variety of patients, beginning with sharing the joy of welcoming new life, to the most complex surgeries in adults. Our philosophy is that of vigilance, safety and minimizing stress of surgery and invasive procedures. My colleagues and I want our families and friends to feel they can bring their loved ones to us for their care.

How I thrive

By working within the Kaiser Permanente team I have been able to spend adequate time with my family, savoring the fleeting moments of their growth and helping with their challenges. I love windsurfing, biking, skiing and hiking with my family, but the most inspiring is their awe at the sight of the starry night in the summer while camping.
