About Me

My passion is to provide state-of-the-art otological care to members. By being an active listener, I hope to be both supportive and informative during the office visit.

I completed undergraduate training at Rice University, where I double-majored in chemistry and biochemistry. I graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 2000. I did my residency training in otolaryngology/ head and neck surgery at University of California, Davis. After residency, I completed a neuro-otology and skull base fellowship at the University of Miami Ear Institute.

About my practice

I joined Northern California Kaiser Permanente in 2007. In addition to my responsibilities in the Head and Neck Surgery Clinic, I was the Medical Director of the Hearing Aid Center as well as Physician Wellness Ambassador. Previously, I served on the center’s peer review committee.I joined the Southern California Permanente Group in 2018. I primarily see members with hearing loss, ear infections, and dizziness. The surgeries I perform most often are myringotomy tube placement, tonsillectomy, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, ossicular chain reconstruction, stapedectomy, osseointegrated bone-anchored hearing aid implant, and cochlear implant placement. In addition to English, I speak Spanish fluently.

How I thrive

During my free time, I enjoy being mom to 2 boys, running with my Labradoodle puppy, traveling, and playing piano.
