About Me

I am the eldest of five children. I was born in Chicago, but I was raised in Liberia and Cincinnati, Ohio. Though I was young when I lived in West Africa, I was keenly aware of health care disparities and developed a passion for helping others.

About my practice

As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, empowering families to be active participants in their care is ultimately gratifying. Children are products of their environment which includes numerous systems: School, family, community and neighborhoods. Helping families navigate these systems during times of distress empowers them to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. My approach to medicine is holistic and consistent with the mission of Kaiser Permanente.

How I thrive

Finding that balance between family and work is how I thrive. It is important to remember to take care of my mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy exercise, cooking and going to the beach. I am also an active participant in my daughter's school activities.
