I was raised in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. I decided to pursue a career in medicine because I wanted to help people and be of service to those in need. I have a wonderful husband and a teenage daughter.
Internal medicine is an amazing blend of personal and professional enrichment. In addition to developing relationships with my patients, I am eagerly challenged by a broad and constantly changing field of medicine. I believe that the patient always comes first and that prevention is the foundation for their care. I enjoy supporting and working with my patients to help them make the right decisions for their health. In working within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group I have the support of a great leadership team along with wonderful colleagues and medical staff. I appreciate our collaboration and our joint efforts to deliver the highest quality of health care possible to all members. I am the co-chief of the Honolulu Clinic and also serve as the internal medicine quality liaison.
I have a very supportive family and enjoy spending time with them. I feel grateful for my surroundings and all the wonderful aspects of my life, including my faith. I am also interested in photography and love to read and take walks.
