About Me

I am originally from Northern California but have also lived in India and Ohio. I am happy to be back on the West Coast, specifically here in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest. I'm lucky because my career in psychiatry allows me simply to listen and connect with people. I personally enjoy letting conversations unfold rather than rushing through a session. My goal is to treat members with the level of respect I would expect for myself and my family and friends. My pronouns are he/him/his.

About my practice

I am part of the Mental Health Solutions team. While I found traditional clinic-based practice to be highly rewarding, we know that many of our members struggle for years before seeking help. And that these struggles affect our ability to advocate for ourselves, prioritize our needs, and attend appointments for mental health care. My team helps connect members with the right provider, reduce barriers to care, and provide timely access to appropriate mental health treatment. I provide real-time consultation for this team, virtual support for patients whose psychiatric care provider may have retired, and single-session video consultations.

• Culturally specific care: Specialty in care for African American, Eastern European, Latino, Middle Eastern, and Native American/American Indian; affirming care for LGBTQ+, nonbinary, and transgender
• Population specialties: Adults
• Language capacity: English
• Areas of focus: In addition to interventions for a range of mental health conditions including depression and anxiety, I have additional interest and experience in motivational interviewing, suicide prevention, and substance use. Even though I specialize in psychiatric medication management, I emphasize nonmedication interventions with my patients.

How I thrive

From a young age, my 2 passions have been reading and travel. I love to travel internationally and to experience other cultures and lifestyles. I also love to read to keep growing. I feed my mind, body, and spirit with a healthy diet of family, movies, golf, and, of course, great food. My greatest joy now is spending time with my spouse and children — laughing together and watching each other grow and evolve.
