About Me

I am a Colorado native. After completing my medical school training at the University of Iowa, I returned home to Colorado to complete my residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency.

About my practice

I enjoy caring for newborn and adolescent patients. I also welcome adult patients including those with asthma. I find it gratifying working with patients who seek collaboration with me to find the correct medication(s) should therapeutic life style changes prove unsuccessful. I believe it is necessary to give each medical problem its own time and attention; this sometimes means multiple visits depending on the level of complexity. Continuing to use evidence based medical practice was one of the things that drew me to Kaiser Permanente as a doctor; thus, limiting exposure to antibiotics by using them wisely is a goal I strive toward. With regards to chronic pain: my practice style focuses on limiting narcotics and optimizing non-pharmacologic modalities to achieve a better quality of life.

How I thrive

I thrive by doing pushups, mini-workouts, meditating, TED talks, nonfiction reading, trying new restaurants, and family time.
