About Me

I originally hail from Bucks County, Penn., just outside of Philadelphia. I attended Temple University in Philadelphia, obtaining a bachelor's degree in English literature. I eventually returned to school, obtaining my master's degree in social services from Bryn Mawr College, in Bryn Mawr, Penn. I traveled south a few years after graduating, spending a few years in Charlotte, N.C. to be closer to parents and cousins, eventually settling in and around Atlanta. I currently reside north of Atlanta with my human family and fur children.

About my practice

I have spent a good half of my career working with university students (Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University), and the other half doing private practice and working in community mental health centers and psychiatric hospitals. My primary specialties are trauma, chemical dependency and disordered eating.

How I thrive

For me to thrive, it is all about exercise, exercise, exercise... and playing with my dogs and family. I walk or run daily, and I ride and commune with horses when I have the time. I read, because it takes me out of my head and into somebody else's. I love to cook - it relaxes me and I love to feed people! Sushi is good for my soul. I game (PS4), so I can be a superhero for part of my day. I love to watch (and sometimes play) soccer. I meditate because I try to practice what I preach. And I love the quote by Rumi, "Let the beauty of what you love be what you do."
