About Me

Greetings! I'm glad that I have this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about my work as a physician with Kaiser Permanente. As a part of the Kaiser Permanente health care team for over 30 years, I look forward to helping you and your family with your health care. Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

I am a California native and have enjoyed growing up and living as an adult in Orange County. I decided to pursue a career in medicine while attending UC Irvine. Growing up in a close family and having a "family doc" as a child influenced my decision to become a family medicine physician.

About my practice

My desire to help others and to be an encouragement to those in need is what motivates me as a physician. Although working in nursing facilities to provide subacute and long-term medical care can be challenging, I consider it a privilege to assist elderly patients and their families. In addition, I have served on the Kaiser Permanente Hospital Bioethics Committee for many years, currently as the chairman. I am also involved with the Kaiser Permanente Family Medicine Residency Program in Orange County, training young family physicians in geriatrics.

How I thrive

As a busy physician, living a balanced life is very important. I am committed to serving as a leader in my church. This is spiritually fulfilling. In addition, I set aside time to relax: visiting with family, grilling in my back yard, reading a book, attending a Dodger baseball game, or walking on the beach with my wife.
